New formats.

18th German
Sustainability Award.

On 4 and 5 December 2025, the MARITIM Hotel Düsseldorf was once again all about the winners of the competitions and appreciation for different, successful ways of achieving goals.

Evenings of change.

Encounter. Inspiration. Recognition: The stage belongs to those who make change possible.

4 December: Dialogue instead of dress code.
A networking evening for new connections.

On the first evening, a new format brought together people who rarely sit at the same table – from business, civil society, politics and research. ‘Creating connections’ invited open exchange on equal terms – directly after the TransMissions of the day:

Without a fixed seating arrangement, with themed islands, short impulses and a high-quality buffet in the foyers, space was created for conversations that continue. An inspiring, deliberately short stage moment anchored the evening in terms of content: with a special award and the ‘big picture’ of the product prize. Encounter – informal, focused, lively.

5 December: Stage for the best.
The festive presentation of the German Sustainability Award.

On the second evening, the focus was on honouring the best. In an elegant, formal setting, the German Sustainability Award 2025 celebrated the outstanding achievements of the year. Bundestag President Julia Klöckner opened the ceremony.

A festive dinner featured a compact, high-calibre stage programme focused on the core content of the evening, accompanied by prominent speakers: with the honouring of the winners in the transformation fields, the presentation of the DNP Health Award, the honorary awards, the ‘big picture’ of the corporate award and a musical accent. Afterwards, the event continued in the foyers – for celebrations, further discussions and an evening that will leave a lasting impression.

To the programme.

The detailed schedule for the conference days on 4 and 5 December 2025 can be found here.

Naturally 7

Live at the DNP: seven voices, zero instruments, maximum sound. The popular US band takes a cappella to a new level – beat-perfect, energetic, surprising. Their performance was the musical highlight of the evening and shows how powerful innovation, timing and teamwork can sound.

The films.

Our two 5-minute films are memories for our guests and a chance for everyone else to get to know the DNP better.

The Blue Carpet 2024.

Once again this year, the celebrity guests walked the Blue Carpet before the award ceremonies. On Thursday, the attention of around 130 journalists in attendance was focussed on the celebrity guests, CEOs and sustainability managers of the 100 winners of the company award. On Friday evening, it was mainly the pioneers of sustainability in the healthcare sector, world and European champions, Olympic finalists and other representatives of the sporting world who gathered for the reception.

The honour and special prizes 2024.

Mary Robinson, Dani Klein, Malaika Mihambo, Hape Kerkeling, Nico Santos, Matteo Thun and Emeli Sandé were honoured with honorary prizes in 2024. Labor Tempelhof received a special award for its pioneering role in the realisation of environmentally friendly and resource-positive events. EURO 2024 has set standards for major sporting events in terms of sustainability and therefore deserves the DNP's special award.

All winners 2024 at a glance.

2024 was a year of disillusionment: global warming broke new records and the challenges of the climate crisis, overexploitation of resources, species extinction and social division intensified. Numerous companies, architects and key players in the world of sport and healthcare have nevertheless - or precisely because of this - submitted their bold and innovative contributions to sustainable change. The best were awarded prizes in Düsseldorf on 28 and 29 November 2024.
