Within the framework of the International German Sustainability Award, an award is presented to a German company and its partner company in the Global South.
The winning companies receive an award which symbolises the logo of the German Sustainability Award. They will be guests on stage at the award ceremony on 29 November 2024 at the MARITIM Hotel Düsseldorf.

All companies based in Germany are eligible to participate. They apply with a partnership, whereby the company in the Global South gives its consent and submits a statement on the cooperation. Only the previous year's winners of the German Sustainability Award for Corporate Partnerships are not eligible to apply.

After the nominees have been determined, the partners in the Global South of the nominated partnerships will each be given the opportunity to contribute a video statement to the application, which they will record based on three guiding questions.

At the end of the application phase, all questionnaires are reviewed and evaluated by the assessment partner teams. The congress (German Sustainability Day) will take place on 28 and 29 November 2024 at the MARITIM Hotel in Düsseldorf (Maritim-Platz 1, 40468 Düsseldorf). The International German Sustainability Award will be presented on the evening of 29 November 2024.

Yes, in the “Submission” tab (top right of the window) you have the option of saving the entire questionnaire as a PDF or printing it out before submitting it.
All information provided in the questionnaire will be treated confidentially. The data will only be accessed by a small group of individuals employed by the German Sustainability Award and the assessment partners who are directly entrusted with the collection and evaluation of the data as well as with the preparation of the jury meeting. Participants will only be published in the event they have been nominated for or have received an award.
