28 and 29 November 2024
17th German Sustainability Day.
On 28 and 29 November 2024 at the MARITIM Hotel Düsseldorf, everything revolves around the winners of the competitions and appreciation for different, successful ways to reach the goal.
The challenges of transformation are intensifying - geopolitical conflicts, energy shortages and domestic political disputes are hampering powerful change. At the same time, the expertise of the sustainable economy in Germany is growing. The pioneers are showing which solutions work. The task now is to spread them.
From 2023, the new business award will make more transformative solutions visible and provide more empirical values. The GSA Sport shows how the world of sport is increasingly becoming part of the solution. The ideas from the Next Economy Award (NEA) point the way forward. The congress provides space for the best examples of successful transformation, aims to network players across industry boundaries and show how change can be achieved more quickly.
Sustainability pioneers from 100 industries, sports and the green start-up scene came to Düsseldorf and shared their knowledge in the new formats of the 16th GSA. The contributions from partners and stakeholders from all sectors demonstrated technological innovation, strategic skill and social commitment. They symbolise courage and ambition. Also at the GSA: new studies on consumer behaviour and the circular economy and beacons of transformative building culture.
Two days with a dense, interactive programme of keynotes, interviews, pitches, panel discussions and dialogue forums offered participants the "big picture", but also differentiated in-depth discussions on the most important topics of transformation.
On 23 and 24 November 2023, the leading players in the sustainability scene came together in Düsseldorf to spread and accelerate transformation. Highlights included the new TransMission formats, the finale of the GSA Hackathon, the award ceremony for the eleventh GSA Architecture, the new NEA LAB with live pitches from the start-up finalists and the two DeepDives on the biggest greenwashing scandal in history with Desiree Fixler and the journey to sustainability by mountaineer and environmental activist Nirmal Purja.
