Fosera Solarsystems GmbH & Co.KgaA is committed to providing Africa, Asia and Latin America with clean, sustainable and affordable solar energy systems. With its partner VITALITE Zambia Ltd., the company, based in Ulm, Germany, seeks to create access to renewable electrical energy in rural Zambia. To this end, small solar arrays are sold on credit predominantly to farmers and local villagers, replacing inferior, unhealthy
and costly energy sources such as kerosene, candles or dry batteries. While Fosera is responsible for the development and production of the solar panels, VITALITE handles local sales and service. The partnership is a win-win relationship for both companies: Fosera benefits from the direct feedback of end users, while VITALITE can rely on Fosera’s optimally designed solar panel systems.
On 14 November 2018, the jury of the German Sustainability Award will select the top 3 entries and the winner.
