The list of nominees for the International German Sustainability Award includes eight collaborations between a company based in Germany and a partner in the Global South. These corporate partnerships were able to assert themselves among all participants and convinced the assessment partners.

By gaining access to demanding markets, LIMBUA has developed into an independent supplier of organic products. The partnership focuses on high-quality standards, transparent supply chains, and the continuous improvement of environmental and social impacts for communities in the Embu region around Mount Kenya.

BENEO is working with Rikolto and CarbonFarm on a three-year project to promote climate-resilient and more sustainable rice cultivation in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. At least 1,000 farmers will be trained in farming methods aligned with the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Standard. Digital monitoring tools and guaranteed market access aim to reduce methane emissions, strengthen farmers’ livelihoods, and promote sustainable rice supply chains for food and animal feed ingredients.
