In 2023, the DNP will award sustainability pioneers in the categories companies, architecture, start-ups (NEA) and, for the first time, sport as well as International GSA.

Wanted: Impactful
Contributions to Transformation.
The GSA recognises groundbreaking steps towards a sustainable future in all competitions.
The award is based on the goals of the 2030 Agenda and thus on the key transformation fields. The competitions focus on the fields in which there is particularly great pressure for action. They reflect the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the goals of the German government's sustainability strategy:
Climate, nature, resources, supply chain and society. The urgency of action in these fields is the leading narrative of the GSA. Interested parties can in principle participate in several of the following competitions, depending on their focus:
The award for role models of transformation in the construction sector.
Wanted: Buildings in Germany that combine innovative strength, high design quality and a sustainable contribution.
The award for start-ups with sustainable business ideas.
Wanted: start-ups with a focus on innovative contributions to ecological and social change.

The award for the pioneers of transformation in 100 sectors of the German economy.
Wanted: Companies of any size that offer goods or services in Germany.

The award for international cooperation.
Wanted: partnerships at eye level between German companies and companies based in the Global South that make important contributions to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

Wanted: Clubs, associations, companies and media that make contributions to sustainable change, e.g. in the context of sporting activities, in the construction and operation of their facilities or in the organisation of tournaments.
