Who are the pioneers of transformation, what are the best concepts for urgent sustainable change? For the 15th time, the best were honoured in modernly designed award ceremonies on 1 and 2 December 2022 in Düsseldorf. In addition to the winners of the competitions, honorary awards were also presented to well-known personalities who bring the topic closer to society through their charisma.
Last year, the initiator of the German Sustainability Award, Stefan Schulze-Hausmann, once again welcomed his prominent guests to the "blue" carpet. The carpet is made of recycled fishing nets and is reused every year.

Last year's competitions were carried out in times of great uncertainty. The war in Ukraine will foreseeably have far-reaching consequences for sustainable transformation as well. Help for the people on the ground is being provided, among others, by our long-standing partner SOS Children's Villages, which we support. Perhaps this is also an idea for you.
With the seal of the GSA, nominees, finalists and winners can document their top position in the field of sustainability - towards customers, suppliers, media and the financial world. The GSA seal is a renowned external recognition, makes the pioneers recognizable and ensures a head start in the market. The GSA seal gives consumers orientation in their search for sustainable alternatives.
An award is only as strong as the attention it receives. With around 6,000 reports and in cooperation with over 50 media partners, the GSA 2021 achieved a gross media reach of 1.5 billion in Germany. Alongside intensive press work is cooperation with 3Sat/ZDF and other media partners from the daily and trade press as well as online media. Special supplements and advertisements present the players around the DNP, generate reach and help to further increase the impact of the award.
